Who is it in the press that calls on me?
I hear a tongue shriller than all the music
Cry "Caesar!" Speak, Caesar is turn'd to hear.

Beware the ides of March.

What man is that?

A soothsayer bids you beware the ides of March.

March isn't just a month to beware the ides of, March is also for mixing so to celebrate I'm going a little bit blend crazy...every week throughout the month of March I'll be releasing a new blend! Each one will be delicious no matter how you brew it, whether you're a fan of espresso or filter (or both!) I've got you covered ; )

Fancy being ahead of the curve? Here at Has Bean we're always riding the crest of the wave and are giving you the chance to be ahead of that crest! (so flying just in front of the wave I guess!) Each blend will be released on a Monday but if you'd like to receive a bag before everyone else you can sign up to a 4 week subscription and be sent a bag on the Friday before general release. For example a blend will be released on Monday March the 2nd but if you are a subscriber your bag will be roasted + posted Royal Mail First Class on Friday February 27th, after that the next blend will be released on Monday March the 9th but your bag will be roasted + posted on Friday March the 6th, and so on...

So I guess you're wondering what to expect? As if I'm going to tell you that! Let me ask you a question, do you trust me? What do you mean no?! Yes of course you trust me! I've got 4 amazing blends planned that I think you're going to really love : ) If you walk into a quality butchers and ask for some of something good you know you're going to be in for a treat, you put trust in your butcher to give you something you're going to really enjoy and time after time they deliver amazing tasty things, this is just the same. Put your trust in me for 4 weeks to deliver delicious coffee : )

The cost of the subscription for 4 bags over 4 weeks is £24.00, that's £6.00 per bag including Royal Mail First Class postage. You will be sent 1 bag a week for 4 weeks throughout March, the bags will be roasted + posted on the following dates...

Friday February 27th, 2015
Friday March 6th, 2015
Friday March 13th, 2015

The Ides of March 2015 No3, Friday March 13th, 2015 - Fruit Bowl

The third blend in our Ides of March month of March is a blend made of components you can't buy on the website, coffees that we normally use for coffee shop blends only but I wanted to make something exciting, tasty and a bit different for you to enjoy. *fanfare* Fruit Bowl!

So why Fruit Bowl? Because it's like drinking a blended bowl of fruit! Well, until the aftertaste...there's a really rather lovely biscuity thing going on there! Up until then it's full of fruit! But if you're reading this thinking, "eek this is going to zing my face off" please stop stop stop! It's not mega punchy fruit that's been supercharged, it's there but it's delicious and balanced.

So I'm sure you're wondering what's in this blend? Well my friends...

50% El Salvador La Gloria Washed Red Bourbon & Pacas
30% Costa Rica La Casona El Rodeo Yellow Honey
20% Kenya Karugiro AB Washed SL28

In the cup expect plenty of citrusy lemon & lime up front which is quickly followed by the sweet acidity of red apples. There’s also a great biscuity aftertaste that really balances the cup.

"Quick Look" Guide:
Fruity, citrus, lemon, lime, red apple, biscuit.
