Wahana Coffee Estate was established in 2006 and covers an area of 480 hectares. It is located in Desa Lae Mungkur, Kel. Sidiangkat, Kab. Dairi, North Sumatra. The altitude of the Wahana estate is 1200-1320m above sea level and it has an annual rainfall of 1,450 mm/year: it's a great environment in which to grow coffee.

Wahana is planted with several coffee varieties, such as Rasuna, Long Berry, Toraja, Andong Sari (Java), S795 (Java), Villa Sachi, Tipica, etc. However, Wahana is particularly focusing on Rasuna. The Rasuna layout consists of about 3,000 trees / hectares with 1 m x 1.5 m spacing. So far an area of around 250 hectares has been planted.

Wahana has also implemented good coffee growing practices. Only organic fertilisers (manure and composted skin pulped cherries) are used on the farm and it is fully planted throughout with shade canopy trees. There are also some conservation areas on the farm in which some native trees and the area surrounding the river are conserved.

Wahana also looks after its workers and seeks to improve workers' conditions. A housing scheme and medical clinic have been implemented to serve all workers.

The estate has installed a complete wet mill for washed processing. The farm is able to offer three types of processing: washed, pulped natural, and natural.

In the cup this is a natural that has big earthy tones, but with a cooking sherry booziness. Think sherry trifle, with black pepper sprinkled all over it, and gloupy and thick mouthfeel.
