Other info Peaberry, Fiaz Moosakutty's Farm

Our friend Fiaz Moosakutty (the farmer of our great Monsoon Malabar) has come up with another treat. I'm not a fan of Indian coffees so always worry a little about these samples. But I'm keeping an open mind, and when this was recommended to me by a top Barista as an espresso component I thought it worth a try. It intrigued me that he thought a peaberry would work in espresso, as I tend to find them a little over powering in a blend (as a general rule of course).

Slice of humble pie for Leighton, a earthy rich and big coffee, no acidity in this one at all, just a nutty and almost cigar taste to it. All of this is on its own, great coffee Mr Moosakutty.

But add it to a blend it can calm down all those fruit bowl coffee's no so much as it hides them but compliments them and tones down some of that huge acidity.
