Oh. My. Goodness.
Doesn't it feel like the first email of the year only just hit your inbox? It's absolutely crazy how quickly this year has flown past me, but here we are, the final bag of #SSSSS2016!
"Steve NOOOOOOOO don't say it's over?!?!?"
Don't worry my friends, more about that later! But for now, let me tell you a little about this super tasty coffee...

Mauricio Vindas Vargas is no ordinary coffee producer, he's a man with a whopping 4 generations of coffee farming experience behind him and ever since purchasing the farm in 2009 has been working wonders at Diviño Niño.
Located in the San Pablo de León Cortés sub-region of Tarrazú between altitudes of 1,830 and 1,915 metres above sea level, the farm works closely with the Altos del Abejonal micro mill to produce outstanding coffee.
The name of the farm, Divino Niño, is a tribute to Mauricio’s son who he believes recovered from a nasty childhood illness with a little bit of divine help. Mauricio Jr. is now fully recovered and in his teenage years and keeping the tradition of coffee in the family alive...he's a certified barista by the Specialty Coffee Association of Costa Rica and ICAFE! Who knows he might even follow in his father's footsteps and one day run the farm that was named thanks to him!

In the cup this starts off floral but quickly turns into a pudding extravaganza! Creamy black forest gateau and cherry with blackcurrant cheesecake on the finish.

That's all folks, byeeeeeeeee...

Oh no, wait! As if I'd leave you all like that!
You'll be pleased to know (well I hope you will!) that I'm going to be doing #SSSSS again next year : D I've heard so many wonderful things over the past year that I really want to keep sharing coffees like these with people like you.
What's really exciting for me is that when I've been away on buying trips and visiting farms I've been able to talk to producers about what I'm doing with #SSSSS, for next year I've been looking at getting specific lots just to share with you lot!
Because you've been a subscriber for the last year I want to give you dibs on places for next year, there are only going to be 300 available and I've not told anyone else about them being there, but just for you here's a sneaky link...
Go on, treat yourself ; )
I'll be releasing the subscription to the world in about a week so you've got a little bit of time to be at the front of the queue, but if you wait any longer than that who knows how quickly those spaces will disappear. Don't miss out!
Obviously I hope you choose to continue on this journey with me as I love getting to talk to you all each month, and I love taking a bag of #SSSSS home with me as they've been some of my favourite coffees of the year. It's been such an interesting ride for me so far and I hope to see many many many of you again in 2017.
With very best wishes,
Stephen Leighton
