We bought this cup from the cupping table, and sometimes that means we don’t know so much about it.

Found in the department of Cauca is located southwest of the country, the area is characterised by hosting the highest percentage of indigenous population, 190,069 people (about 20% of total departmental), belonging to 8 officially recognized ethnic groups, which are established in 26 of the 39 municipalities of Cauca.

The Central Cooperative Indígena del Cauca "CENCOIC" is a public entity, nonprofit, which unionise with guards and / or indigenous councils and own economy structures within communities. The coop was granted on the 2th of May, 1980. CENCOIC has 378 member families spread over 24 reservations, located in the area known as "La Meseta de Popayan" in the department of Cauca.

Since its inception the CENCOIC, strengthened the first economic forms of indigenous communities, such as community stores, community groups and businesses, its main business is the distribution of basic goods and buying crops communities.

Coffee in Colombia and in the department of Cauca has been in decline in recent years, but CENCOIC has gone from strength to strength improving yields and quality in the cup and by finding routes to market.

Members of CENCOIC are located between 1500 to 1800 meters above sea level. The coffee is a blend of Caturra (50%), Tipica (20%), Colombia (20%) and Castillo (10%).

In the cup you get an amazing pomegranate acidity, with a white grape zing followed buy a smooth milk chocolate finish.
