Have you noticed we like Brazilian coffee? We have lots on the range and always will have. Brazil coffee on the whole is very average, because that's what they do, there's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil. The big roasters will buy up as much as they can to fill their blends up with. But that's fine because the speciality lots they don't buy because it costs to much and I think they just don't get it. Their gourmet coffee is some of the best in the world, and that's why we stock it This coffee rang alarm bells with me. I'm not a fan of coffee that holds the organic stamp. A lot of coffee is organic, but it takes so much work to get the stamp of approval that most farmers with a good crop just don't bother. So when a farmer does go to the trouble you start to think why? Then when I heard it had been decaffeinated by my importer, that was the nail in the coffin, I was expecting the worse. But even I'm allowed to be wrong (I know its shocking :) ). A great Brazilian that's not only organic not only decaffeinated and from a single estate but tastes fantastic. Like all good Brazilians equally at home in the espresso machine or filter. It's a rich smooth cup with caramel, and brown sugar that give it real sweet high notes. In the aftertaste there is a slight nuttiness that's not unpleasant with that sweetness going on and on.
