Bean name Bolivia Finca Bolinda Dona Magdelena Choque Caturra Washed 2014
Country Bolivia
Region North Yungas
Other info Varietal: Caturra

Another of our delicious coffees from Bolivia and the town of Caranarvi. The farm is located in the North west of Caranavi between loayza and San Jose and very part to the colony called Bolinda, and like all of the farms in these areas has no name, so we have decided to name it after the lady who maintains and looks after the farm. Her name is Dona Magdelena Choque.

The farm is located at 1420 meters above sea level and is planted with the Caturra Varietal. 1420 masl is fairly low for Bolivia, but I think is a lot of the reason behind this diverse cup. Caranarvi continues to show that it has a wide range of micro climates and delivers as diverse a cup as a whole country or even continent.

In the cup is where I fell in love with this coffee, it's just so juicy with hints of blackcurrant and blueberry, not in your face but gentle and delicate. This delicately turns into florals, with jasmine and coffee blossom.
