Description

So called, because Monsoon coffees are stored in special warehouses in the port town of Malabar, until the monsoon season comes around. The sides of the structure are then opened and moist monsoon winds circulate around the picked green beans making them swell in size and take on a mellowed but aggressive, musty flavour. It turns very pale in colour and becomes very brittle. Difficult to roast but then, that's our problem. You'll get the most unusual tasting coffee that we've found so far.

In the cup you get peanut and almonds mixed with tobacco smoke and hesian hints. It's a real strange coffee that's completely unique. A must try coffee.

I meet the farmer from this plantation recently at an event. This guy is one serious coffee man, and he's producing some of the finest monsoon Malabar's about. Were extremely grateful and lucky to have this one, and you must try it for Fiaz's sake.
