Description

El Salvador is a stunning country for coffee. The mixture of plant stock (mostly Bourbon) with amazing altitude, and great volcanic soils means it has some of the most amazing coffees. And most of it is grown on the Santa Ana volcano on the Ipaneica mountain range.

So it's great to find somewhere else, as everyone has those coffees.

Finca Loma La Gloria is located in the Quezaltepec Mountain Range; on the slopes of the San Salvador volcano overlooking the Quezaltepeque Valley. The Casco sits at an altitude of 1,460 m.a.s.l. and from there you can admire The Picacho, which is the highest point of the volcano (1,960 m.a.s.l.).

The Finca’s altitude ranges approximately between 1,350 – 1,770 m.a.s.l., and at its highest point it borders the volcano’s crater, known as Boquerón.

The farm has a range of varietals, from traditional Bourbon to Pacas and Pacamara.

This is another coffee from my regular visits to El Salvador, and one that we secured with the help of El Mono mill and Alejandro from Argentina, and I'm super proud to show it to you.

I'm proud to show you because of what's in the cup, where it is just like a Malteser. Milk chocolate on the outside, malty honeycomb on the inside, with a lovely watermelon and raspberry acidity.
