Description

The Fany Farm has been producing coffee in El Salvador since 1870, and has belonged to the same family from generation to generation. The farm provides work for 24 families in the community. Located in a biological corridor, that stretches from Mexico to panama for 27 hectares, full of 100% of bourbon coffees. This shade grown coffee is creamy and sweet, and blew us away when we first tried it. The cup leaves you with a mouth full of caramel, another fine coffee from Has Bean.

From El Salvador's total coffee production nearly 70% of bourbon coffee, which is the thought to be the best coffee variatle. Its harder to grow, more susceptible to disease, produces a lower yield but often produces some of the finest coffee. I love El Salvador for this dedication to producing awesome speciality coffee. This is one of its finest, and I love this coffee. This year the farm entered the cup of excellence for the first time, and did really well (NOTE: This isn't from the Cup of excellence and isn't a Cup of Excellence lot). Were really proud we found it before it got there (this is the second harvest we have stocked it).
