Description

We were lucky enough to have this last year from the cup of excellence program. We liked it so much we asked if we could have some this year and our importers were kind enough to say yes.

Last year it was also a very expensive and in very short supply. The good news is that it is not so expensive, but it remains exclusively rare.

From the province of Alajuela near to the city of Naranjo this is an area we have seen so much improvement from of late, I've yet to see a famous Tarrazu come close. This coffee is processed using the pulp natural method, which is used on many of my favorite coffees.

The grower Edgar Aguilar Bonilla begun to grow coffee around 50 years ago in the western region part of the country. His sons (one of them is Felipe) continue with the tradition and made a family association, working arduously in the coffee business.

This again is a Villa Sarchi Varietal, unusual but a great cup. In the cup the first thing that hits you is sweet honey, then a gush of raspberry just like last year. The after taste is smooth developed and very very clean. If the price put you off last year then don't miss out this.
