Country Colombia
Region Huila

Description

This is our first ever direct trade coffee from Colombia and it is from the Huilia Region, which is located in the south-west of the country. This is a cooperative coffee produced by a group of very small producers from the areas of San Roque, Santa Rosa, El Carmen, and Alto Capa Rosa in the municipality of Oporapa, so to find out this much information is amazing.

Our export partner, Banexport, helped us to find this coffee. We cupped it alongside some super high quality Colombian coffees (Cup of Excellence winners), and it was one of our favourites. It was bought 100% on its cup quality, and I think this one will become a huge coffee for us because of it being simply delicious and tasty.

In the cup expect red berries; in the mid-cup expect a lovely caramel and milk chocolate, with a super brown sugar sweetness. An amazing brewed coffee: an awesome espresso. It even works with milk. Is there nothing you can't do, Oporapa?!
